MS of middle aged man and woman in Perce ceremonial garb dancing in place; male holds the American flag on a staff while the woman holds a staff decorated with feathers; zoom in and out; numerous others dance in a circle around them ( also in ceremonial dress);hre is a musical accompaniment (vocal chorus, drums, jingle bells); an audience watches on, takes pictures every so often; an on site announcer speaks unintelligibly through a PA system; there are 25-45 participants in the powwow (including one middle aged white guy obviously not of herital decent); lots of feathers and bright, decorative, festive colors on the ceremonial outfits; several small children participate as well; all participants have numbered tags on their shoulders; CU's of faces. 01:09:37:- more powwow footage, after the dancing has stopped; LS of a drum circle (5 men playing one animal skinned drum and singing ) along a yellow wall; zoom in for a few CU's of their faces; ECU of the drum being hit. 01:12:06:- EXT. Level, wide LS of the lake, the original encampment site (read reservation) of the Nez Perce; beautiful day out, bright blue sky, distant mountains, peaceful lake, green fields; taken from 2 other vantage points and angles.
