ON PREVIEW CASS 98053 Fade in on abstract action and sound as (1) Liquisonic (ultrasonic) cleaning liquid starts its cleaning action; cut to (2) Orboresonant cleaning by vibration, and closeup vibrating action of the (3) Dual-Shaft Vibrator, a third way for industry to clean metal parts for manufacturing. Main title. Plant interiors of the Hand Tool Division of Dresser Industries in Defiance, Ohio; long shot of two 23 foot dual shaft Wheelabrator vibrators; CU deburred end-wrench forging, Ron Shrum, plant manger, inspects and comments as camera cuts to detailed action shots cleaning the wrenches. Animation shows action of dual and single shaft machines. Dual shaft high speed unit smooths and radiuses large cast iron cooking kettles at Lodge Mfg. in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee. In Wheelabrator's Mishawaka, IN plant, the largest vibrator ever built, a 50-ton, 16 foot tall vibrator for Westinghouse deburs and radiuses the more than 12 thousand holes in each giant tube support sheet for nuclear powered boilers; camera follows this unusual action in long shot and closeup. Transition to Orbo-resonant cleaning unit, with 100 to 300 vibrations per second, induced by vibrating a steel beam at its resonant frequency, for interior cleaning of automobile transmission and differential parts, and similar. An Orbo-resonant machine at Racine Rex in Racine, WI, cleans interior passages of valve bodies. Camera shows parts immersed in twin tubs of media, as vibrations fluidize the media and clean the parts. Liquisonic cleaner uses yellow liquid (first seen in abstract at the film opening, and now shown in detail) to clean large auto transmission housing. Camera shows before and after cleaning details. Summary montage of the three types of cleaners. 400' color sound 16mm film on gray plastic reel in 400' Plio-Magic brown plastic Frink Film Studio mailing case, labeled.
