The dead and dieing are removed from the wreckage of the Washington to New York Flyer speeding at 80 mph on its Northbound run, the famous Embassy breaks an axel and nine cars of the train hurdle from the tracks and down an embankment. Six die in the wreckage and 90 are injured. It is hours before the dead and the injured can be cut from the twisted wreck.
