The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded for achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and for peace. The occasion is marred by a red demonstration from the gallery, but King Haalkon leads an ovation from soldiers and statesmen, drowning out the communist agitators. MLS - General Marshall mounts the rostrum at Oslo University to receive the 1953 Nobel Peace Prize from Gunner John chairman of the Prize Committee. MLS - You see leaflets falling down from the balcony in front of the camera lens. MCUS - You hear in the back ground some hollering out in German, Gunner John looks at the General and you hear him say "Communist". MCUS - General Marshall accepts the award on behalf of the American People who implemented his famous relief plan. Thunderous applause from the audience drowns out the communist agitators.
