Prisoners: Red Captives Cared For in U.N. Camps. In sharp contrast to conditions of our prisoners held in Communist prison camps, late films show humane treatment accorded Communist prisoners in South Korea compound. Red truce negotiators are stalling talks on prisoners fearing desertions to U.N. allies. VS POWs being herded here and there. CUs of various new Korean prisoners, some of whom look a bit stunned. Prisoners are sprayed (de-lousing), then get their hair cut off (isn't that redundant?). Clothing is distributed. Someone paints the letters PW on the back of a prisoner's jacket. High angle shot shows large sign on the ground, "POW Camp 3" and tents in background. Red Cross representative; CU of red cross badge on his arm. Caucasian soldier hands out cigarettes to the prisoners (but they didn't know that was harmful at the time, so it's not torture). Prisoners are served food and eat with chopsticks. Wide panning shot of the camp, a guard overlooking it. Propaganda.
