Hero's Welcome: Falmouth Overwhelms Skipper of Enterprise. It's a hero's welcome for Captain Kurt Carlsen of the 'Flying Enterprise.' The doughty skipper who stuck with his crippled freighter for 13 days is overwhelmed by the reception tendered him a Falmouth. LS of a destroyer in rough seas. The crippled ship finally goes under and sends up a spray of water. VS Carlsen arriving at ceremony, carrying flowers while escorted by local dignitaries; members of his family and the press await. Carlsen speaks at microphones to the admiring crowd, says he regrets not bringing the ship back, thanks his supporters. Group of newsreel cameramen operate their cameras. Brief interview; "What are you going to do now?", to which Carlsen replies, "I'm going to sleep." The captain and others walk through a waving, cheering crowd.
