The Sea Wins: Enterprise Sinks Despite Heroic Fight Courageous Captain Kurt Carlsen, who stuck to his foundering ship the 'Flying Enterprise' during anxious days following a hurricane, is rescued when the freighter finally goes down, only fifty miles from harbor and safety. Late news films show terrific waves lashing the crippled ship, from which Capt. Carlsen radios his plight to U.S. destroyer. Shots from sea and from air of the listing ship on the waves. Shots on board of the crew doing something unknown (they pack a tube with something; one sailor fires a gun that shoots off something attached to a string; not sure what they're doing). Audio track include the captain's voice communicating by radio. POV from on board ship as waves wash onto the deck. Crippled ship in stormy seas.
