Porter Wagoner thanks everyone for patronizing his sponsors, then takes a moment to say he was talking with Dolly Parton about Norma Jean before the show and that you never replace someone like Norma Jean because she's a star in her own right. Then he goes on to warn Dolly that she's going to have to put up with this next fella for a long time because "he is one of the worst in the world," referring of course to Sadie's boyfriend, the one and only Speck Rhodes. Gap-toothed comedian Rhodes enters wearing his trademark checkered suit with bow tie and bowler hat and singing "Hello Dolly." Speck tells an awful joke about not being able to think about anything but girls. (Comedy)

Porter Wagoner introduces the week's gospel song as his favorite part of the program. Accompanied by The Wagonmasters, Porter plays guitar and sings/recites "You're Not Home Yet." The lights dim evocatively during the song.
