Various scenes from the second intafada, palestinian uprising. late 2000. Israeli special forces and police clash with stone and shoe-throwing Palestinian protestors. This is raw footage (in more than one sense) - shots can be short and/or unsteady but many good shots to be found here. Much of this takes place at the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif. Other scenes appear to be in a neighborhood street.

Cus of medical personnel, doctors, nurses etc. working on wounded palestinian child. Cam hovers over bloody child and personnel frantically attend to him. One doctor speaks to cam, microphone is thrust in front of him as he explains (starts in english then switches to arabic) that the child has suffered gunshot wounds. When he is done talking , the child is dead. Activity in the room slows, as personnel now concentrate on showing the child's wounds to the camera and removing the equipment and breathing apparatus that they used to try to save him. CUs od the gunshot wounds and other injuries.

(Saved QT) MS camera tracks a group of about 20 young palestinians as they emerge from behind some dumpsters and flag down an ambulance. Ambulance pulls up as the group, in chaos, carries an injured man to it. They load him in, ambulance backs up into the group which then scatters and reassembles behind the dumpster. WS group in street behind dumpsters throwing objects at a burning building from which an Israeli flag flies.

MS high angle shot as stretcher is wlaked through crowd. High angle man with megaphone leading crowd. CU weeping woman.

Cuts to zoomed in MCU of father and child huddled behind a wall - dust and smoke around them. The child is screaming - shouts from onlookers off camera. The father waves his hand in accusation to off camera soldiers. Tries to hold son close behind him. Lots of gunshots, smoke, shaky camera - hard to see what's happened here but the child - with now bloody torso - is slumped over the father's lap . Father slumps down sort of dazed. Cuts to WS looking up at helicopters firing something out of them - small plumes of smoke. Crowds, soldiers, in street. Various WS Israeli tanks in field.

(Saved QT) City skirmishes. MWS SV kids in street with fires burning, picking up rocks and throwing them. They stand behind a building and some make-shift street barricade (oil drums and wood sheets etc.) Great MS of a photographer with his camera standing hear a soldier with his rifle. VS street skirmish action - kids throws a stone - a soldier fires his gun, ambulance drives off - screaming siren. All close 'good' action. This street looks like it was a busy business area that is now abandoned to violence and decimated and fires burn in the street, and debris is all over the sidewalks. Another good shot OTS solider with rifle aimed into street, photographer with cameras walks towards him. VS men throwing stones. Group of Israeli sodlier in retreat. Men on top of small building - one fires slig-shot. MCU soldiers in lookout tower. WS street. WS boypushing oil drum into debris filled street. Fire burns, flames. Cuts to WS hundereds of palestinians running, shouting along road, debris on road. They run and walk towards camera. SV MS Israeli Special forces fire cartridges at them. VS special forces firing, wlaking towards and away from crowd. VS special forces closer to crowd, firing more rapidly, running - more intesne action. Could be tear gas cartridges - not sure.

VS street skirmish. Lots of gunfire. Palestinians with guns try to shoot over a wall. Some are throwing rocks. Tires, oil drums and other debris on ground - this looks like a compound of some sort. Fences and stone walls. Cam follows action. Loud shouting crowd of men rush a wounded palestinian to an ambulance - action towrads camera. They load him in - man in blood-stained shirt passes camera. More shooting, ambulance drives into crowd - away.

VS Uniformed Palestinians try to remove and disperse a crowd of young palestinian men around the same israeli security post or check point that they were trhowing stones at earlier in this same tape. The men are climbing over the fence, trying to pillage and destroy whatever they can with wathever they can find. One guy gets to the Israeli flag and tries to take it down. Another uses a wooden stick to beat on the structure. More shots of the guy trying to take the Israeli flag down. He tears it. Wider shot same. Flag is down. Shots ring out and the boys quickly try to disperse. One gets caught in some barbed wire near a fence. CU men carrying a wounded teenager. Vs men carrying wounded. Crowd.
