Canadians Hail Kennedy On State Visit On his first visit to a foreign nation since he assumed the Presidency, Mr. Kennedy arrives in Ottawa on a visit of state. Kennedy and Jackie exit aircraft. Greeted by Governor-General George P. Vanier and the Prime Minister John Diefenbaker. CU of boys waving hats (look like boy scouts) Kennedy later attends a state dinner and the next day addresses Parliament. Jackie is seated in civilian balcony. He appeals to Canada to join the organization of American States, of which is not a member. Without mentioning Cuba, he states that nothing is more important than Canadian / U.S. unity.
