Where's Everybody? Animals lonely In Zoo Strike - New York's Bronx Zoo is empty of people in the zoo strike, and the animals, although still being fed by their keepers, miss the crowds. Picketers at zoo entrance. Sulky zebras, appealing seals, and beseeching polar bears all get the message across - - - people- come back! Flamingos. Buffalo. Two polar bears walk around pool. Polar bear standing on hind legs clasps front paws, as if he is pleading to the camera.
