World Series Opens The world series opens in an exultant Pittsburgh, with forbes field jammed to the rafters by pirate fans in high glee after a 33-year pennant drought. The Yankees, riding high on a fifteen game winning streak, are brought to earth with a jolt as their defense crumbles before a smashing Pittsburgh attack. Final score, 6-4. Next game: the yanks roar back to a shattering 16-3 revenge! Commentator says, "and the fans go wild" Yogi Berra up to bat.
