White water daredevils in a kayak slalom, with a rugged, sadistic course marked out by poles in a surging, tricky stream to make even more hair-raising the ordeal of powerful currents and savage rapids. Men (and one woman?) kayak through rapids, around poles. Strenuous. People standing on a bridge watching the Kayakers paddling down the turbulent water. OHS - Kayakers paddling into some pretty rough water, the water rushes over one kayak and over-turns it. CUS - One of the participants struggling in the white water with his kayak. He makes it and goes around the bend. MS - Sports enthusiast applauding. MS - A Kayaker paddling around the poles. He makes it barely to the bottom of the run. Old man river is proclaimed the winner by the VO.
