News in Brief: Into The Depths The Navy's bathyscaph, 'Trieste', surfaces after an historic descent into the 37,000 foot Mariana's Trench - the deepest hole in the earth's crust, and as remote and hostile as outer space itself. An epic feat of exploration. Ship at sea, hilly land in distant bg. Men working (?) on outside of partially submerged vessel.
