Twenty-five years ago (1935). Storms and floods scourge the nation. In the Mississippi valley, whole counties are desolated by floods. Aerial floods. People in boat. In Texas, a biting cold wave, blizzards and a sudden tornado take a shocking toll. Dead cattle. New York City digs out from under its worst snowstorm since the blizzard of '88. Tractor (?) pushes mounds of snow. Florida, on the other hand, stages a sunshine fashion show. Women model bathing suits, other clothes. In the sports world, Glenn Cunningham shows his mastery in running the mile (indoor track meet), beating off Jean Venzke's challenge. Athlete of the year - none other than Dizzy Dean. Connie Mack (?). Ford Frick (?). Dean (?) eats chicken. An oddity in the news, a compact, rear-engine car tested on Hollywood streets - twenty-five years ago! Invention. Skeleton of car (no panels or body to it yet) drives along with five people in it.
