Space Triumphs: Probe Venus: Stars Studied A 180,000,000 mile odyssey began at Cape Canaveral last August when Mariner Two was sent off to a rendezvous with Venus. Now, 109 days later, the trip is a resounding success as the satellite send back signals are evaluated. Meanwhile, two men go aloft in "Stargazer" a balloon that rises 80,000 feet for an atmosphere clear view of the stars. Two astronauts seated inside capsule. Two men looking straight up toward the sky. Animation of stars and crescent moon.
