Football: Penn State Wins Liberty Bowl Penn State against Alabama in the first edition of a new post-season classic, the Liberty Bowl. (This is the first Liberty Bowl.) It's a scoreless tussle all the way until a bit of skull-duggery in the form of fake field goal try brings the Nittany Lions the lone tally and Penn State wins 7-0. College football highlights. Exceedingly bad, short punt. Crowd with Penn State banner. Gale Hall (?). Fake field goal turns into a touchdown. WS crowd jumping up and down in excitement.
