Sports: Southern Cal Downs California Unbeaten and untied Southern Cal (University of Southern California) meets the University of California at Berkeley, and the mighty Trojans have to rally in the fourth period to preserve their skein. The underdogs' surprisingly tough defense, plus a recovered fumble that results in a tally gives the Bears a 7-6 lead until USC's final display of power in a pinch. Marching band on field. Cheering crowd. College football. Long touchdown run. Spectators cheer and wave pom pons. Scoreboard: California 7, USC 14.
