News in Brief: Iran, Shah's Birthday Resplendent birthday ceremonies for the Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who disappoints rumor by not announcing his wedding. After receiving felicitations in the palace, the Shah is hailed in a spectacular mass torchlight display. Wow. Interiors of ornate building, big chandeliers, Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and other decked out in splendid uniforms. Nighttime. Fireworks. Nifty display of people walking in formation with torches to light things up. Lavish. Impressive.
