News in Brief: Rome, Vatican Mourns Pope Pius XII A notable conjunction of occasions in the Vatican. The Holy See observes the first anniversary of the death of Pope Pius XII. The centennial of the American College in Rome is celebrated, and Pope John XXIII reveals that an American has been declared 'venerable', first step towards sainthood (VO says the American is Mother Elizabeth Ann Bailey Seton - but no declaration is shown or heard). The Pope and lots of other clergymen in religious procession and ceremony inside church. Worshippers in the pews. Flowers around tomb (?) of the late Pope Pius XII. The current Pope swings censer of incense.
