Football: Boiler-makers Hammer Notre Dame Purdue's Boilermakers hammer Notre Dame with a hard-driving, powerhouse game that even the Irish's gallant second half rally can't match. The final score in the gridiron thriller - 28-7. College football highlights. Spectators in stands hold colored cards that, en masse, spell out the letter P for Purdue. Lots of running plays by Purdue, and touchdowns. The Purdue quarterback does a lot of running himself; he seems fearless. WSs excited cheering crowd. A couple of impressive plays where the offense keeps its cool under serious defensive pressure (like defenders leaping up in front of Notre Dame QB) and passes are completed anyway.
