News in Brief: Hawaii, Hawaiian Elections The fiftieth state goes to the polls in its first election since admission to the Union, with top posts at stake including 2 Senate seats and one in the House of Representatives. Two of the three sent to Capitol Hill are of Asian descent, reflecting the colorful melting pot that is Hawaii. High angle panning shot of populated area in Hawaii, perhaps a city. Campaign posters. Politicians with leis around their necks speak to crowd; one man apparently is the new governor, William Quinn -- voice over notes that Quinn is a Roman Catholic. Daniel Inouye (?), also wearing leis, speaks into microphones. Crowds of Hawaiians. New Senator Hiram Fong (?).
