Bastille Day. France recalls days of glory on the anniversary of the French Revolution's storming of the Bastille with flashing, glittering observances rich in military splendor, one of the most gala observances in the history of the nation. Military parade, marching men in uniform, tanks. Charles De Gaulle riding in open car. Crowds. Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe seen in background at times. Torchlight march at night. Fireworks explode, light up the sky behind a monument (?).
