Argentine Labor Riots An angry demonstration for higher pay by bank clerks and railroad workers in Buenos Aires erupts into a 4-hour pitched battle with police, dramatically highlighting the nation's labor crisis for distinguished foreign visitors. Large crowds in urban streets, some with flags or banners. Some of them seem to be tearing something down, perhaps a flag (?), but hard to tell. Police fire weapons (perhaps to launch tear gas), round up people, put one man in back of truck with bars over the window (paddy wagon?). Night, police clear away rubble.
