Space Mice Preview scenes of the most momentous and adventurous step in our space exploration program thus far. The launching into orbit of 4 mice - and their recovery as the tiny life capsule re-enters the atmosphere. Recovered by a mid-air snatch in a feat of remarkable team-work and precision that will successfully cap off the projected voyage of Discoverer III and its precious payload of life. Daytime rocket launch. Man working with four mice, feeding them. Several men get satellite equipment ready. Men in control room. Several men in this story wear jackets that say "Lockheed" on the back. Satellite dish. Airplane in flight; looks like the satellite shown earlier gets pulled up into the airplane.
