Atlas Falls To Earth 15 Seconds After Liftoff Some spectacular films of a disintegrated missile. Shots show mid-air destruction of an Atlas ICBM seconds after launching off Cape Canaveral, Florida. Incredible close-ups of clouds of flame picturing the wrecked rocket. Daytime launch of missile. Closer shot as part of missile explodes. Flame engulfs the rest and flaming wreckage falls. Pretty dramatic.
