NEW YORK ATHLETIC CLUB GAMES In Madison Square Garden, Villanova's graduate student, romping Ron Delany, is winner by one-foot in the halpin 880 over Tom Murphy. A thrilling finish and the closest Delany has come to losing in the 34 straight indoor races he has now won. Boston University's 17-year-old John Thomas again matches his own world record by soaring 7 feet in the high jump. A neat repeat! Thomas gets a handshake. Track and field meet. Man fires starter's pistol. Running race.
