Railbirds Bid Bangtails Adieu. Sorrowful scenes at a New York race track, as the northern racing season ends on a rainy, dank day. The trotters are practically awash in this farewell performance. But there's a good turnout nonetheless. Horses race, pulling what looks to me like miniature chariots, on a wet track. Excited spectators cheer, urge them on.
