'Cactus Jack' Garner. Vice-president during FDR's first 2 terms, John Nance Garner celebrates his 90th birthday at Uvalde, Texas, with a host of old friends, including former President Harry S Truman, Senator Lyndon Johnson, and Speaker of the House Sam Rayburn gathered 'round. Propeller plane taxis (probably landing) at night. Truman embraces, shakes hands with old man in cowboy hat. Daytime crowd including newsreel camera. Man in cowboy hat cuts cake; he and LBJ eat some.
