Quemoy Stalemate. Under the harassment of an intermittent, off-again, on-again barrage by Communist guns, Quemoy goes stoically about its daily life, in which civilians are never far from their underground homes -- shelter from the rain of death that may come from the skies once more without any warning. News In Brief. Streets in town pretty empty except for chickens. Asian people emerge from underground tunnel (shelter?). Scenes of daily life for these Asian people, including children. Washing dishes.
