'Triton' - Biggest A-sub, Launched At Groton, Connecticut, some 35,000 are on hand for the launching of Triton, America's eighth and by far the largest nuclear submarine. Almost the size of a light cruiser, the huge but sleek hull is an awesome sight as it slides down the ways into the Thames. Woman christens the sub.
