Pro Bowl. In Yankee Stadium, the New York Giants meet the Chicago Bears for the pro grid championship, and rack up an astounding 47-7 upset. The Giants' Gene Filipski returns the opening kickoff, running 58 yards. A young couple (spectators) sit in the stands, the woman seeming even more excited than her male companion. #33 Mel Triplett runs for the end zone and knocks over a referee along the way, still managing to score. Blocked punt returns to the end zone, resulting in another Giants touchdown. Quarterback Charlie Conerly passes to Frank Gifford, who falls forward into the end zone for touchdown - at least according to the ref. (Today this might merit another look to verify...)
