Same as catalog # 514896 Senator Knowland comments on the achievements of this session of congress, about to adjourn-and praises the legislative body's record of accomplishments. CUS - Senator Knowland; "I believe that when this session of congress is finished and practically when the 83rd. congress has completed it's labors it will have a very good batting average of accomplishments. I want to say in concludtion that we have had splendid by bi-partisan cooperation because of the senate of the United States we actually don't have a Republican majority. There are 48 Republicans, 47 Democrats and 1 independent. And without the cooperation on both sides of the aisle of course no legislative program would be possible. I want to say that members of congress regardless of their partisan affiliation recognize the nation is facing grave problems abroad and were all determined to maintain a free world of free men."
