Dull in imagery and contrast, DOS Unusual films show how navy experts test shells to keep the fleet's big guns up to par. Indoor blasts, action on the firing range, and spectacular scenes on the 'rocket railway,' testing weapons of tomorrow. Establishing shot - Man weighting and measuring a large shell. CUS - A shell is detonated in a large bin filled with saw dust. MCUS - Saw dust getting sifted. CUS - Two men sorting fragments of exploded shell. MLOHS - Velocity testing of live ammunition.
