Rolling a little dull in contrast and imagery Enormous clams, famed for their succulence, use all their wiles to escape the spades of hungry 'sportsmen.' The opening of the season finds the wary 'gooney-duck' hiding his light deep in the sand. The GOEDUCK (It's pronounced gooey-duck) or (Ugly) - These are actually VERY huge clams that in habit NW beaches. Digging them is difficult as they are very strong and dig very fast and deep. Unless you have to feed a lot of people, it's better to just leave them alone.
