Rolling and dull contrast in imagery Thrilling scenes of legion ascot speedway as ten thousand spectators see George Connors narrowly escape burning to death when his car plows into a fence, turns over and bursts into flames during an exciting and spectacular event in which other contestants avoid 'cracking up' by slim margins.
