Light in contrast and blurry imagery The capital's medical minds assemble in consultation to devise ways to spare the life of n'gi, suffering from latter stages of pneumonia. While the inmates of the national zoo stare in bewilderment, a hurriedly improvised operating room is installed in the cage of the ailing animal. Surgeons under the direction of Dr. Charles Stanley White move swiftly as science attempts to rescue the sick beast from death. More than a quart of empyemic fluid is drained from n'gi's lung and the world's most famous gorilla might yet be spared. A story that has intrigued the nation.
