County Sheriff Ralph Krieger seated at desk for interview: "Oh, of course I have no idea why the [Cleveland] Plain Dealer would print it. The headline, you understand, could have been the other way and been just as true: 'Sheriff's Committee aids Slant(?),' see? It's a matter of... beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I suppose the method of the presentation of the story was with the reporter. And I certainly don't question the news media's right to investigate a public official. I think his public actions are open to the scrutiny of the press, and would certainly continue to fight for your right, or anybody else's right, including the [Cleveland] Plain Dealer, to say it."
