ON PREVIEW TAPE # 991675 PERSONAL LETTER FROM RUTH (cont)Either day, I take a helicopter at 5:30 pm to LA, and get on a United flight at 9:30 pm and arrive in Cleveland at 9:30 am. I called home last night and talked to Mother & Daddy. Everything is going smoothly at home, and they were both so pleased I had been able to have such a wonderful trip with you. Both Ruth & Vi were enthralled with my account of the country we went through and were green-eyed with envy.The " Starr's Guide to the John Muir Trail" is sort of hard to figure out, but on the train I made an outline of our trip and looked up mileage and altitudes as well as I could. I'm sending what I figured out in hopes it can help you in doing the same. I doubt if it is too accurate.Thank you, Uncle Guy, for another wonderful ten days.
