Whitewater Hearings July 25, 1995 - Testimony of Patsy Thomasson.
Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Ms. Thomasson, at one point, I think it was Mr. Ben-Veniste who asked you if you were aware of the differences in the testimony or aware of differences in the accounts given of the night of July 20th by you, Mr. Nussbaum and Maggie Williams, and you said that you were. Is that correct? Patsy Thomasson. Yes, sir, that's correct. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). You also testified that you did not speak to any of them prior to or after their testimony or your testimony. Is that correct? Patsy Thomasson. That's correct. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Did you have occasion to see notes or see their depositions? Patsy Thomasson. No, sir. My lawyer discussed it with me yesterday. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Your lawyer discussed the differences? Patsy Thomasson. He only told me that there were differences, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Did he tell you what those differences were? Patsy Thomasson. There was a difference about when I went into the office and who went into the office with me and the timing, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). But he did not relate to you that, for example, Maggie Williams testified that she went in with you or that she went in prior to you or that there was any difference of that type? He just said there are differences? Patsy Thomasson. The specific thing he related to me was that Mr. Nussbaum did not recall having gone into the office with me initially. He remembers coming back into the office, but he told me he didn't remember the initial visit to the office.
Senator Al D Amato (R New York). But you remember quite clearly having first encountered Mr. Nussbaum on the first floor. Is that correct? Patsy Thomasson. Yes, sir, that is. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Along with a group of others, Mr. Lindsey and others as you just have testified. And that you related to at least Mr. Nussbaum that Mr. Watkins had called you? Patsy Thomasson. That's correct, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). And that Mr. Watkins asked you to look into Vince Foster's office to see if there was a note? Patsy Thomasson. That's correct. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). And Mr. Nussbaum said he would accompany you? Patsy Thomasson. Yes, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Both of you went up together? Patsy Thomasson. Yes, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). You entered more or less together, together one ahead of the other or he ahead of you? Patsy Thomasson. Yes, sir. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). You're quite sure of that? Patsy Thomasson. That's what I recall, Senator. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). Pretty sure of that? Patsy Thomasson. That's exactly what I recall. Senator Al D Amato (R New York). That's exactly what you recall. Fine. I have no further questions.
